Well it did not make reserve but at 70+ K dollars it must be close to an Ebay record for Studebakers.

Mike.... that should be almost in your back yard? I have purchased a number of items from the seller Bob Petersen and I have no complaints.

Mmmmmm...

Na...I'll keep what I have.
My pink car has better areas and worse areas, but it also has a V-8 in it. Which all that is...is maybe an easier to sell item!
It would make a good body parts car, if you had somewhere to store it.

My blue car...everything's hidden under paint and carpeting...I have no idea what's under all that...! Though I do have a floor pan set to weld in. But the pink car also needs a floor...after...I replace the quarter panel...

Jeeze what a pain in the rear old cars are.

Damn...I do wish I could afford the the time let alone the funding to execute something in the vein of quality of this unit. At a minimum it has a Connie tailgate and a ton of admiration. Rite now I am the high bidder but I aint even scratched the surface here.

Too bad you aren't indpendently wealthy.!

How far is Pomona...well, actually a pretty big treck for my ol, 85hp wagon.
Took me all of about 15 minutes to get there! Spent a longer time waiting in line to get in.
I'm about 7 miles from the Fairgrounds....

Not a bad day.
Had a hand full of Cackle Fest (only) Nitro cars there. Found that by accident. Heard "something" way off in a corner of the swap meet parking lot. Thought hmmm...that's no street rod engine !! Sure enough, there was 6 Cackle Fest Nitro dragsters and the Burkholder Brothers, Fiat (AA/FA).

It was funny... Roland Leong, Dale Armstrong, Don Prudhom (spell?), a couple other "name" people were there. The only car that brought a smile to all of their faces...the Fiat when it fired up...!

I can always dream. For a fleeting instant that rig was mine! My money tree is a stick tree with very little folage during race season.

Wow...sounds like a great day! Roland Leong was here last weekend acting as crewchief for the Nostalgia Fuel Bubble Up Funny Car. i think he has been Crew Chiefing that show for a couple of years now. I think they ran a best 5.82 at 240 plus on Saturday. Class of the field on Sunday running high 5.80's an low 5.90's.

Were there any Canucks with the Cackle Fest A/FD's? Claude Lavoie and his bride told me there were going to Califruit this weekend to make some Cackle noise. They both have Nostalgia Fuel rails as well as a new Nostalgia Funny that they are supposed to be debuting rite about now.

Great to hear you got that 85 hp girl out there and knocked some of the dust off of her. Anybody notice?
