Has anyone found a solution?

2009 Oct 05 Mon 6:33 pm

Has anyone found a supplier or a solution for vent window gaskets on 54's and early model 55's with flat windshields?

I'm still in need.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott
I have been looking for over a year and then the other day I was looking through my junk and found a 2R C-cab truck vent window.
and it looked close. I called Studebakerparts.com and ordered a pair for the truck. They are about an inch short but I think I can make it work.
I will try to fit one in the next week or so and let you know how it works.I know it won't be perfect but it has to be better then what I have

OK I finaly got around to installing the vent window rubber in my 54 Conestoga. It is vent rubber for a C-Cab truck.
Not perfect but better than nothing. They leave a small about 1/4" gap at the top and the bottom.Ill try to post a couple pictures.

As long as you don't go out when it's raining, it should be fine. I'd like to find a solution like that for the rear door vent windows in my '57 Packard wagon.
