Hummmmm;

For those that are looking. On EBay, item # 350297821686 ... Hope this helps. Wants $180.00 but not sure which model they fit. Looks about right, but just not sure if they are home made or after market since they just don't look right to me..

Anybody got any idea if they will work on our Conestoga's ?????

Good luck and let's hear what your thoughts are about them.....

Roger....

Briz has some of these pictured on his 54 in the Gallery.

My personal take on this is that they put the U in Ugly.

Thank goodness that we are not all the same.

This ain't no East L.A. Low Riders Club...here.

To each his/her own I guess...run what you like...(!?)

Now, now;

Let's be nice. Just because you don't like them personally doesn't mean that they cannot be made to look cool. I must say that I'm not in love with all 49, 50 or 51 Mercury's with skirts on them but there are a bunch that just look as if they make the vehicle. And those are not East LA Low-riders either. Those 55 Studebaker, Presidents models I think, sure look right to me and it's not just because that's the way most of them came from the factory. Now I know your talking about our Conestoga Wagons but, I'm sure there has got to be someone out there that has a terrific idea on how to make a custom Connie look great with a set of skirts on them.

I wonder if there are any Ads with a Conestoga with a set of skirts ? But then again how many where they trying to sell in East LA. Ha!!!

Roger.....

PS: Matt, I also have a set. And they are NOT for sale.....

Roger...I must clarify that my comments were not directed at Matts rig but an observation about installing same on my Connie. On the other hand I do think they look do like they belong on the 49-51 Mercs. 8)

Thank goodness that we are not all the same. :wink:

The Registry is still here so I don't think Matt has taken any of this to seriously. Let me digress, it's in jest ! 8)

Maybe the addition of a 60's type Pro Stock hood scoop on the skirts to help cool the brakes would help the looks a little.

With all due respect to Matt (and others that use them).....I've....never liked the look, on any car I can think of, even back as a kid.

Seems as if there are no Fender Skirt Lovers out there willing to pay $180.00...

Seller has relisted and price is down to $150.00...

Wonder how low price will go before he sells them ?
