Go to - http://www.racingstudebakers.com/foo...p=29709#p29709 - for the latest info if you are interested in an adj. cam timing gear set and machined, two piece front cover to be able to adjust (or hopefully remove) the cam timing without disturbing the damper, filler block and gaskets.

Note: there is no fuel pump mounting boss.

After I mentioned that I was in the middle of (me and the shop !) designing adjustable timing gears and machined aluminum timing covers, some of you asked about the possibility of buying "just" the alum. cover.

Sorry to have to report, that the new cover will NOT work with stock timing gears.
Several changes were made from the stock cover to be able to have it user friendly toward every function of the adjustable cam gear as possible.
Thus in this case, the stock cam timing gears would "protrude" from the new cover..!

If you are interested in the adjustable gear set/mach. cover (anyone that bought a roller cam) would do well to also step up to this assembly..!
Head over the the Racing site, the "Studebaker Powered" section to find the latest on the gear set and cover.

Ok...I know this is probably a long shot...but...if anyone's interested, I've started the sale of the gear drives.
Head over to the Studebaker Racing (Stude powered, gear drive purchase) site for more info.

Al -

As noted, glad you got your new play toys. Hope they work out well for you.
Make sure you look around for the black and whites (or what ever color the police cars are up there..!) before hitting the new found power on the streets...!

And yea, the gear drives are underway...ever so slowly..!

The sky is falling, the sky is falling..........

A "billet"....timing gear cover, jeeze I hate the connotation of that word as applied to the automotive world...
Anyway...as fully machined and in place, on a block.

Right after the covers are complete.

Just guessing...if not started this week, they will be started the beginning of next week.

Ok, I have them in house.

New crank gear, adjustable cam gear, new two piece timing gear cover.
Can be seen here -
http://public.fotki.com/-Mike-/
Go to the "Studebaker Roller Cams" folder. See last photo (13). The only difference in the pictures and real life, the gears are black oxide coated.

If you've ever thought about a very simple way to alter your cam to crank shaft timing, this is an easy way to do it.

Everything required is included except the fasteners to bolt the cover to the block. Crank seal, o-rings to seal the center cover to the main cover and an o-ring to seal the cover to the block, other fasteners. The original gasket may also be used.

$550.00 + CA. sales tax and shipping

If interested, contact me thru a P.M.

Mike

P.S. - no fuel pump boss.
