You think you got a project...

I found this '56 wagon for $1500 online located in MO. Not a Conestoga but a valid reference point regardless.

I figger there's more hidden away in the creek bottoms, old junk yards, and back yards of America.

It's my quest to find as many as possible...

for the 'greater good'

When I decided to look to buy my first Stude....THAT was the car! Actually it wasn't THE car...but it was in much the same condition.

I didn't buy it!

If the price was any higher, or located any farther away, or if I couldn't borrow the company truck, it woulda got crushed.

Either that, or I woulda went down and stripped it in the field.8)

As it turns out, that's the farthest I ever drove for a car...

I think that 56 wagon was a bit overpriced even if it had all the trim...

Funny thing is all the looks I got as I brought it home. I was surprised the CHP didn't stop me as I rolled it thru the truck scales...(whew) :?

I even had people taking pictures with their camera phones...
