Got my production order back

Just received my production order from the museum. No real surprises but after the model number is the word "Currier". Any idea what that means? What were the few Conestogas with sedan delivery type steel side windows called (I think Fords were "Couriers")?

Have never heard the two words together (Conestoga and currier).

I'd say...just call the Museum and ask them, unless someone here has heard the term. I've just heard the term "panel" with the use of the blockout panels. They were used in all wagons with the same size and shape quarter windows(at least through 1960, or longer). I was going to buy a pair when I had my 59 Lark, 2dr. wagon. But at the time, all that I could find that had them, wanted a small fortune for them. So, I went without.

Someone on the SDC forum knew- turns out that "Currier" was a telegraph code, to let the dealer know there was a "1954 Commander Regal Conestoga" on the way to his dealership without the expense of having to spell it out. Other wagon versions would have had different codes.
