Players will also face Tok-Xil, a proper Red Dragon, and the legendary Kalphite Queen a classic RuneScape menace that traditionally requires a full team to bring down.

The insectoid Kalphites have awakened from their hives in force, with Workers, Soldiers, and Guards scuttling through the ruins. Meanwhile, the elemental Kot'Haar warriors Xil, Kal, and Ket patrol the desert, ensuring no adventurer feels safe. And if that wasn't enough, wildlife like Desert Kebbits, Goats, and Vultures add to the hostile menagerie.

The Sun Is Your Real Enemy

Here's the twist: the deadliest foe in Umbral Sands isn't a dragon or a giant insect it's the sun itself. A new environmental hazard called Sunscorch applies a "Scorch" debuff that rapidly drains your hydration. Stay in the blazing sun too long, and you'll wither away. Your only salvation? Shade, protective clothing, cooling snacks, or adventuring at dawn and dusk. But night brings its own dangers Fuzan sends his Red Lesser Dragons to hunt under the cover of darkness.
