Correct me if I am wrong but arent the tailights for the Conestoga and sedans different than the coupe for 54-55. I thought that the coupes were shorter and had more of a flat surface and used a flat tail light. The wagons were taller and had a more round housing and used a rounded/domed tail light. look at ebay items 4612938526 i think this a sedan wagon tail light and item 8038193696 is for the coupe speedster. Thanks Nick

All I know is...

The sedan and wagon will interchange. I've seen 4 or 5 different styles of lenses but all with the same housing.

The finned hawk (maybe not the Tourismo ?) is as tall but wider across and used a filler piece off the body fin.

The coupe was same width as the sedan/wagon, but shorter.

And that's what I 'know'...

All usual disclaimers apply including the one about talking out my a**

I bought my Tail Lights from Sasco. They are for the 56 wagon but Dennis at Sasco said they will fit. The difference is the light socket is 12 volt instead of 6 volt. The part numbers are 1312677 and 1312676. These part numbers are the housings only and Sasco price per housing is $60.00 each. I got lenses for the housings but they were put in the housing box and I do not have a part number for them but Sasco will. Chrome was nice original no pits.
