Good news and bad news

Postby Mainstreetprod » 2024 Jul 08 Mon 8:18 pm

The good news: Wednesday I'm getting my '54 Conestoga back after 3 months in the paint shop. Took a peek today and it's looking slick as glass.

The bad news: Now reassembly starts, and one of my grille bars , a Regal door belt molding and two tailgate pot metal Regal trim pieces (on each side of the hatch handle) are in Chicago at a chrome plater. The person who sent them there SIX MONTHS AGO, a well known Studebaker chrome parts vendor, is not returning my calls.

So it looks like I need to find new ones. If you have the parts (any condition) or any leads, let me know.

Ha, I knew there was a good reason to leave the original 1954 paint on my Conestoga.
Took many years to get this good looking, who am I to change it ?
